Case StudyResettlement UK project15 July 2009 'Resettlement UK designs, develops and delivers a range of age appropriate resettlement solutions to London boroughs, so effective that the majority of young people who engage with the products and services not only stop offending, but go on to achieve positive long-term outcomes for themselves, whilst actively enabling their peers to do the same. We believe that superior performing practitioners deliver superior performing young people, ensure that the 'invest-to-save' case is proven'. Jeremy Whittle is behind the idea of Resettlement UK. He aproached Volia on 24th of June 2009. We have discussed the project, prepared a quotation which was agreed. The next step is the design of web site's visuals. One of our Designers was briefed on customers specifications and here is the first revision.
First Revision for Resettlement UK projectclick on image to enlarge Simple and starightforward design, intends to make information easy and quick to access Home page feels open and confident Not in your face design, but would imagine any campaigning/messages would be best done in headline or on the blogs, which, as a means of honest information have been given a more prominent role rather than being buried in a sub menu. Having taken all the feedback into account a few days later we had a second revision ready for Jeremy to look at. Second Revision for Resettlement UK projectclick on image to enlarge Main page. Background is now a bridge. Introduction of Facebook and RSS links. Logo now more in-line with existing version. Click on image to enlarge Right-hand column now becomes list of videos (or, in case of other ‘list' pages, the PowerPoint presenations, &c). Customer feedback:"Thanks for this. We are nearly there!
I'm
pretty content with most of what I see now in draft 2, all except the
background. I didn't much like the circles on the 1st draft and they
still haven't grown on me. Can we lose them and concentrate on the
suspension bridge image. I've attached the best example that I can
find. It's bold, simple
and conveys exactly what I had in mind. It doesn't necessarily
need to be a photo if the designer can do it freehand. The message is:
It takes a 'bridge' of support services to bridge the gap between
custody and the community and get you to dry ground'!
The
image will also form the background of my business cards."
Third Revision for Resettlement UK projectclick on image to enlarge The customer is very happy with this revision. The design has been signed off. We are now in the process of integrating these visuals into the Content Management System. When integration is completed, together with the customer we will start populating this site with the content. Once the main bulk of the content is there and the client is happy to go live the hosting account will be created and the site will go live. Please visit this page later to see the complete work. |
